Winter haiku from years gone by

Hoar-frost at midnight.
Capella blinks. Ice blue world
Sleeps under the moon.

Winter night. I wait.
The wind yawns round the corner
The house moves in sleep.

Rain on the window.
Wind tries to blow out the stars.
Clouds slip past the moon.

A cat yowls at the
Yellow moon, hole in the dark,
Spitting in anger.

Blue gauzed morning light
The moon tilted on its end
Observing the Earth.
